About This Project

The second in a series of three mosaics depicting local Hawaiian flora and fauna, the image of a mother and baby humpback whale was taken from a painting done previously by the artist for a book on “How to Paint Sea Life in Oils”.  The mosaic is installed at the main exterior entrance of a private residence on the island of Maui.
